HIGHER LEVEL TRAINING IN NAVAL SECTOR


SUPERIOR STUDIES IN SHIPBUILDING (180 credits.) (1 credit = 25 hours of workload for the student).

FIRST YEAR (60 credits):

Mathematics (12 credits).
Physics (12 credits).
Chemistry (6 credits).
Technical drawing and CAD naval drawing  (6 credits).
Introduction to shipbuilding I (basic training ) (6 credits).
Introduction to shipbuilding II (detailed aspects of the ship) (6 credits).
Introduction to the science and technology of materials (6 credits).
Technical English / Spanish (6 credits).

SECOND YEAR (60 credits):

Shipbuilding techniques (12 credits).
Introduction to strength of materials (6 credits).
Welding (6 credits).
Rules and Regulations (6 credits).
Fishing system and shipping (6 credits).
Ship equipment and services (6 credits).
Fluid mechanics (6 credits).
Mechanics Engineering  (6 credits).
Thermodynamics (6 credits).

THIRD YEAR (60 credits):

Electricity and electronics applied to the vessel (6 credits).
Fundamentals of project management. Planning, logistics, project team organization, control and monitoring, and preparation of tenders and budgets (6 credits).
Business Administration (industrial organization, human resources, ...) (6 credits).
Specialty (45 credits).



The student will choose one of the following specialties:

Specialty Marine structures and empowerment (45 credits).


Ship Theory (12 credits).
Marine Structures (12 credits).
Welded and Fabrication (cutting and forming technology) (3 credits).
Plotting and development, forecasting and material management (6 credits).
Technical Office (preparation of plans and technical information) (6 credits).
Accommodation arrangement, mooring and anchoring systems. (3 credits).

Theory of Machines and Mechanisms (12 credits).
Electronics and Electrical equipments/systems (6 credits).
Equipment and accessories (6 credits).
Facility Design (6 credits).
Outfitting engineering (isometric and supported), forecasting and material management (6 credits).
